The cost report answers what you spent. This one answers a different question: what you actually put down, by active ingredient.
You will find it on the Applications page as Active ingredient report. It reports the amount of each active ingredient applied — how much of each active went onto which block, and per hectare. A resistance rotation check, a carbon footprint report and NPK nutrient tracking all start from that number. What it does not do is apply an emissions factor — that belongs to whichever scheme is asking.
It lays out the same way as the cost report
Choose the two axes from active ingredient, product, formulation, category, month, production unit, block, RAC type, RAC group, crop and cultivar. Cells show the active ingredient amount, the amount per hectare, or both. Filters for category, formulation, production unit, block, crop and cultivar, plus one for biological products, so you can separate live organisms from everything else.
It opens on category against month, and on the last twelve months.
Resistance rotation, on a page
The two axes worth knowing about are RAC type and RAC group: IRAC for insecticides, FRAC for fungicides, HRAC for herbicides.
Put RAC group down the side and month across the top, filter to one crop, and you are looking at your rotation. Not what you intended it to be — what the records say it was, per block, per season.
That turns "are we rotating properly?" from a question somebody answers from memory into one you can put in front of an auditor, or in front of yourself before you plan the next round.
The same report counts nutrients
Fertiliser products are recorded by their elemental nutrient content, and the report does not care that nitrogen is not a pesticide. Filter to a fertiliser category, put active ingredient down the side and block across the top, and the amount per hectare column is kilograms of N, P and K on each block.
It is the same report asked a different question, which is why it works without anybody having built a nutrient report on its own.
Where the number comes from
Each block's record already holds the dose that went on it and the block's area, which gives the product applied. That is converted into the product's own unit, and then split by the concentration of each active ingredient in the product. Where the concentration is stated by weight but the product is measured by volume, the product's specific gravity is what makes the conversion honest.
So the amounts are derived from what you recorded at the time. Nothing is entered twice, and nothing has to be kept in step by hand.
