Add an instructor

Put the people who tell your team to go and apply on your farm's list, so an instruction can name them. They do not need a login.

Every instruction says who issued it. The name prints as Issued by on the application and on the instruction and confirmation you print.

An instructor is anyone who tells your team to go and apply: the farm manager, a foreman, an outside adviser. They do not need to use Intecrop, and they do not need a login. An instructor is just a name on your farm's list.

Add one

Choose Instructors in the menu on the left. You will see everyone already on the list.

Press New, type the person's name as it should print, and press Save. The name is saved with the capitals as you type them, so van Niekerk stays van Niekerk. Extra spaces are taken out.

Each name can be on the list only once. Jan Smit and jan smit are the same person, so adding the second gives you a message instead of a second instructor.

Only a farm admin or a manager can add, change or remove instructors.

Pick one on an instruction

On an instruction, the Instructor field is a list of the people you added here. If someone is missing from the list, add them under Instructors first.

Change a name

Press the pencil next to the name, fix it, and press Save. An application points at the instructor, not at a copy of the name, so the applications they issued show the new spelling too.

Remove one

Press the bin next to the name. Removing someone does not take their name off the applications they issued: those still print it. They only leave the Instructors page and the list you pick from on a new instruction. An instruction still being written that already names them keeps them, marked "(removed)", so you can still change its other details.

If they come back, add the same name again, in any capitals, and they return as the same instructor, spelt the way you typed it this time.

Try it on your own farm

Record your applications, track what they cost, and print the reports you need at audit time.
